Can effective radio advertising help a retail chain roll out nationally? Absolutely! In fact, the “America’s FIrst Place for Sports” slogan I created in 1995, supported by a jingle I co-wrote with Robert Bidney, helped establish category ownership for Sports Authority, first in New York, then nationally. The radio advertising production supported seasonal promotions such as “Holiday”, “Back to School” and Grand Openings for nearly two years. Here’s just one of two dozen spots I wrote and produced during that time.
