PROJECT:
Deep dish pizza and this legendary Chicago restaurant were new in Florida. So when the client decided to use radio advertising to build its brand and drive store traffic, I wanted to write a spot that conveyed the core message in a fresh new way. The lead character in the spot is diving 600 feet into a deep dish Uno’s Pizza because it is the world’s deepest deep dish pizza (an idea that required the kind of radio advertising production that could create “theater of the mind.” ) Fact is, the spot worked so well that the franchiser offered the spot to other franchisees around the country.
