PROJECT:
To a discerning developer like Joel Altman, stylish design and exceptional copywriting are critical components of branding and marketing. So when I was brought on as a freelance copywriter and creative director by the advertising agency handling the account, Mr. Altman made it clear that his consumer sales brochure was to be the premiere selling piece for Altis, a mid-rise residential community that was to become a template for similar communities scheduled for rollout across the country in the coming decade. In addition to writing the tag lines and body copy for the piece, I served as the creative director/copywriter to help marry the client’s vision for this new rental community concept by combining a lifestyle approach to the amenities package. Lauderdale and desired a “green” urban community close to shopping, beaches, nightlife, and culture. The “Live Zensationally” campaign I created with the agency art director leveraged the property’s amenities and lifestyle appeal in a fresh new way.
The creative advertising agency used print ads, outdoor advertising, on-site signage and digital out-of- home, guerilla marketing tactics, and a robust internet marketing strategy that included a website that I wrote along with the printed collateral materials.

PROJECT:
Satori, a new eco-friendly urban village developed by The Altman Companies, had many features entirely unique to a rental community in Ft. Lauderdale. Of course the challenge for the agency's designer, and for me as the freelance copywriter, was how to convey this in a color brochure. Keeping with the "Live Zensationally" tone throughout the piece, we showcased the property's luxury amenities with accent photos conveying the "zen-like" characteristics of the property, from the clubhouse to the apartments. We even added a bamboo stick as the binding on the piece.
